What certifications or credentials will I receive from these courses?

Advanced Course: you'll receive a certificate from PMHI and 30 internationally accredited CPD credits upon completion. You'll also receive a comprehensive resource packet containing all tools provided throughout the course.

Introduction Course: you'll receive a PMHI certificate, 7 internationally accredited CPD credits, and access to an online course with the slide deck and resource list.

What happens if I can't attend a live session in the Advanced Course?

Life happens!

Advanced Course: Simply notify your instructor so we aren't waiting for you. The recording of each live session is uploaded to the course platform within 24 hours and can be viewed in lieu of attending a live session if needed. You'll still have access to all materials and can participate in discussion boards to catch up.

Introduction Course: If you are not able to attend please let the instructor know and you will recive an invitation to join our next schedule introduction course.

What is the cost of the courses?

The Advanced Perinatal Mental Health Specialist Training is €1,350 with flexible (monthly or quarterly) payment plans available.

The Introduction to Perinatal Mental Health one-day training is €99.

Monthly specialized webinars are €20 for live attendance or €15 for recordings.

Community Hub membership, which includes all monthly webinars and discounts on other trainings, is €19/month.

What are the time commitments for each course?

The Advanced Course runs for 10 months with one 3-hour session per month, plus preparation reading and optional participation in discussion boards, peer consult groups and extra monthly trainings. Most participants spend an average of 4-6 hours per month.

The Introduction Course is a full-day training from 9am to 5pm with breaks included.

Monthly webinars are 90 minutes each.

Do I need previous experience in perinatal mental health to join these courses?

No previous perinatal experience is required for our Introduction Course or monthly webinars. For the Advanced Course, while specific perinatal experience isn't mandatory, you should hold a recognized professional qualification in a health-related field and either be working with or planning to work with the perinatal population. Is there ongoing support after the courses end?

Yes! Advanced Course participants receive 6 months of complimentary access to the PMHI Community Hub after course completion. We also offer monthly webinars, peer consultation groups, and our online community to support your continued growth in this specialty.
